Well, as you know should know that taking drugs is an illegal activity. Dealing with drugs could cause a pretty long prison sentence, which could be your whole life in prison, it all really depends. And if you just have possession you of any kind of drugs it could only cause you 5 years in prison. Which obviously this will affect your future by jeopardizing your degree, your career you want in life, and just anything you want to do in the future. It all could be gone for drugs.
Also another thing to look at is addiction, say you have been addicted to drugs for awhile now and you just randomly get caught with them. There goes five years of your future down the drain.
